Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) November 16, 2009 -- Bacchus Gold Card announces launch of new membership program delivering unrivaled benefits to wine enthusiasts and fundraising for charities: “Uncorked” in time for holiday gift season. The membership entitles wine enthusiasts to extraordinary benefits at participating wineries including, complimentary wine tastings for two, discounts on wine purchases, concierge wine tasting scheduling service, discounts on travel, lodging, dining, shopping, attractions and more.
Steve Bender, President and Founder of the International Bacchus Society developed the Bacchus Gold Card program to offer charities a valuable fund raising method in light of the current economy and tight budgets across the board. “We’re working closely with several charities to promote the Bacchus Gold Card program to raise funds for their worthy causes by offering an exclusive membership program which also makes a unique gift for a wine lover; just in time for the holiday gift season. Additionally, we’re donating a portion of the net proceeds to benefit Bacchus Doc-in-a-Box,” said Bender. Bacchus Doc-in-a-Box is a nationwide program working in conjunction with the Africa Project and high schools to repurpose 20 foot shipping containers into mini community medical centers that will be shipped to underdeveloped areas of the world and staffed to provide purified drinking water, first aid, vaccinations, personal hygiene & safety education to villagers. Steve Bender also says, “The program is very exciting because in addition to benefiting a very worthy cause, it teaches young adults in the U.S. to be philanthropic and environmentally conscious while learning valuable skills such as, planning, building, marketing, fund-raising, etc.”
